PalmSHIELD Slide Gate Specifications Are Now Available!

PalmSHIELD has a custom specification for slide gates that incorporate the PalmSHIELD louvered panels.   PalmSHIELD panels are very robust with the 3″ x 3″ framework.  A standard slide gate specification will not integrate with the PalmSHIELD louvered panels.  Thus, we have prepared a unique PalmSHIELD slide gate specification.  If you are specifying PalmSHIELD for your mechanical equipment enclosure, roof top equipment enclosure, trash dumpster screen, etc. and want to incorporate a slide gate into your installation; you should include both our standard set of specifications and our new PalmSHIELD slide gate specifications.  Our slide gate specifications are based on a cantilever slide gate application that cantilevers the gate above the opening.  This type of installation removes any concerns of wheels that run along the ground.  A cantilever gate requires engineered bracing and trussing to insure the gate remains level and plumb while fully open or closed.  With the added size and weight of the PalmSHIELD panels, no ordinary cantilever slide gate specifications will do.  We have engineered a design of properly placed and sized trussing that will provide for these unique circumstances.   These specifications will be included in our CAD section.
